Expanded cooperation on Havneøen in Vejle

The two parties have just entered into an agreement to build an additional 48 properties on Havneøen i Vejle. The developer of the project will be a joint venture company with the participation of the two parties. NRE Denmark will fulfill the role of a general contractor, as was also the case for Stage 1.

The 48 condominiums will be established in two residential towers with a total floor area of ​​4,515 sqm. Thus, the total area of ​​Havneøen will reach approx. 15,000 sqm. The two towers are built with four and seven floors, respectively, with penthouse apartments at the top, and some of them overlook Vejle Fjord. The apartments in Stage 2 vary in size from 58 sqm to 153 sqm, generally smaller than the apartments in Stage 1.

The construction is designed by the architectural firm Arkitema Architects. The architecture of the project is integrated into the overall vision of the Harbor Island, which focuses on creating a new dense, vibrant and complex urban neighborhood on the waterfront. As was also the case with Stage 1, the new residential towers are being built in brick materials with different facade expressions for each house.

Havneøen’s Stage 2 is expected to be completed by summer 2020. Together with Kirk Kapital’s new headquarters, Fjordenhus, designed by Olafur Eliasson, Havneøen will form part of Vejle’s new waterfront, which will open up city life towards Vejle Fjord.
